The Deane House and Fort Calgary ~ One of the original North West Mounted Police outposts. The construction of this beautifully preserved site was initiated in 1875 by a federal order to force out whiskey traders from the area!
The Deane House was built nearby in 1906 for the Superintendent of Fort Calgary. Also very well preserved, today it is home to a restaurant and venue for Murder Mystery theatre.
