Land Acknowledgement
In the spirit of reconciliation, the Calgary Petroleum Club respectfully acknowledges that we live, work, and gather on the ancestral lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy — including the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations — as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyârhe Nakoda Nations, comprising the Wesley, Bearspaw, and Chiniki bands. We also recognize the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 and all Indigenous peoples who have traditionally cared for this land and continue to do so within the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta, a territory that stretches from the North Saskatchewan River to the Yellowstone River in Montana, and from the Rocky Mountains east into Saskatchewan.
