ROOM OPTIONS

When you are looking for a place to host an extraordinary event, the Calgary Petroleum Club certainly delivers. With rooms, rich in character, that can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 500 people, offering custom menus, a collection of 15,000 wines, and experienced event support, every event will be effortless.

Private rooms and events can be booked through our Function Coordinator’s office.  Our venues are ideal for your next business meeting, AGM, Town Hall, conference, charity event, training session, lunch & learn, retirement party, holiday party or wine tasting.

We offer several drop in dining options for Members and their guests and we have a total of 15 (fifteen) private function/dining rooms. Breakfast is served weekdays from 7-9 am in the Renfrew Lounge. Lunch service is offered weekdays 11:30 am – 2:00 pm including our ‘all you can eat’ buffet in the McMurray Dining Room; it is sure to satisfy everyone! We also offer lunch in the Renfrew and Woodbend Lounges, both with different menu options. For more casual food and atmosphere, our Sports Lounge is a great place to catch all the action. Dinner service is offered Monday through Saturday, 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm in several of the aforementioned rooms or you can book a private room for any meals.

Weddings are also a specialty at the CPC, with our Devonian and McMurray rooms for large weddings and the Trophy and Renfrew Lounges for more intimate size events. We also work with professional décor companies to add that extra special touch to your wedding day.

The Club hosts a number of member entertainment events throughout the year, including Christmas parties, New Year’s celebration, Mother’s Day Brunch, Easter Brunch, Seafood Buffets, Dinner with the Chef, Wine themed dinners, Member/son/daughter evenings, Stampede buffets and more.  

With fifteen room variations, we are sure to have something to fit your next event. The capacity of our private rooms varies from accommodating 2 up to 500, depending on the set-up (seated meal versus theatre style or cocktail reception). Food service is available in all rooms and menus can be tailored to meet your needs. Audio Visual is also available in all private rooms, including ‘click-share’ on flat screen monitors, flip-charts and easels.

 

Bluesky

The Bluesky room is ideal for small groups needing some extra privacy. With 250 square feet of space and plenty of natural light, it’s the perfect place for a business meeting or intimate dining. A built in flat screen TV is available for an additional charge.

Brew 319 Workbar

The new Brew 319 work-bar is an ideal location to escape your office while still be productive. This area of the club has several work stations offering space to spread your papers out, charge your laptop or cell phone, and receive service from our friendly barista! Enjoy a light snack, smoothie or take something back to the office when you leave. This area is serviced from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm weekdays.

This room cannot be reserved and is available by drop in visit only for a maximum of 90 minutes per day. Food service is not available.

Business Centre

The Club has a complimentary Business Centre located on the Main floor for use by our Members and their guests. This space provides a small private area that includes a table and chairs, computer and a printer.

Cardium

With its warm millwork, Cardium is an intimate room that can be booked as one large space or partitioned in half for smaller parties. The entire room, Cardium A&B is 665 square feet, and can hold up to 50 people for a cocktail event or 40 theatre style. Half the room, Cardium A or B is 332 square feet, and can hold up to 30 people for a cocktail event or 20 theatre style.

A built-in flat screen monitor is available for an additional charge.

Club Reception

Our Club reception area is here to serve you. Upon arrival to the club, if you do not want to carry around your briefcase, backpack or luggage, we will gladly store it for you while you dine in the Club.  We can also assist with reservations for lunch or a club special event; ordering a cab or limousine pick-up and manage any take-out orders.
 

Devonian

This is our grand ballroom and the largest venue in the Club. The Devonian, boasts 6,000 square feet of elegant event space. Available for breakfast, lunch, afternoon cocktails, or dinner, the Devonian room also offers optional adjoining reception space in the Woodbend Lounge.
From a classic wedding to a sophisticated corporate affair, the Devonian provides much needed style and space for your event. The room can accommodate up to 500 for a cocktail style party or 250 for a seated event.

McMurray Room

Memorable events begin in our McMurray Room. Available for breakfast, afternoon cocktails, or dinner, it’s a comfortable, spacious and inviting room for you and your guests. Our stunning glass ‘bubble’ chandelier is the focal point for this elegant room. Additional reception space is available in the Renfrew Lounge.

With 4200 square feet of space available, the McMurray room can accommodate up to 250 people for a cocktail service or 120 for a seated event.

A 122” monitor is available for an additional charge.

When you have a small group, but want to make a big impression, our Midale room is a great choice. With 200 square feet, it’s the perfect place for a business meeting or intimate family dinner.

President's Room

Business or pleasure, the President’s room is ideal for private gatherings. With 510 square feet of space, the room can accommodate up to 50 people for a cocktail style event or 24 boardroom style.

Featuring beautiful woodwork and historic lighting, the President’s room also includes a built-in 80” flat screen TV and wireless presentation system which are available for an additional charge.

Renfrew Lounge

The Renfrew Lounge offers a well-lit, relaxed business casual atmosphere. Our majestic ‘horse shoe’ bar and the iconic ‘well’ are the perfect space for your reception.

Sports Lounge

The Sports Lounge is the ideal space for your casual dining. Outfitted with 6 large screen monitors, a new sound system and a stunning bar with 12 beer on tap, this area is perfect for watching your favourite sporting event or hosting a casual lunch with clients or colleagues. Dressy Denim permitted each day.

Trophy Room

This room has so many features. A cozy fireplace, a glass wine vault, a stunning floor to ceiling trophy display, a new sound system and gorgeous lighting. The perfect space for all your entertaining needs that ca accommodate up to 60 people for a cocktail reception or 32 seated.

A built in 80” monitor is available for an additional charge.

Viking Room

The Viking room can be booked as one large space or divided in half for smaller parties.

The entire Viking space, Viking A&B is 938 square feet, and can hold 75 people for a cocktail or theatre style event, and up to 56 seated. Half the room, Viking A or B is 469 square feet, and can hold 40 people for a cocktail event or 30 for theatre style.

A built in flat screen monitor is available for an additional charge.

Wine Cellar

The Wine Cellar is a unique space that delivers an unforgettable food and wine experience. Built in 2007, our cellar is one of the largest in Alberta and features fine marble accents, a custom table that adjusts to fit up to a maximum of 20 guests, and a collection of 15,000 bottles of wine from various regions around the world. It’s an impressive room that leads to impressive events.

Groups of nine or more will order from a pre-selected menu in the Wine Cellar while parties of eight or less will be offered a smaller menu, at the Chef’s discretion. We are happy to assist with wine pairings.

Woodbend Lounge

This fine dining area of the Club offers a separate menu from all other dining menus. With a fireplace and limited seating, it provides a more intimate dining experience. Have your Caesar salad prepared tableside with attentive service to make your special occasion memorable.
